Pakistan

Starting house churches throughout the nation with gospel strategies such as drilling water pumps, launching schools, training leaders, open air outreaches, and humanitarian aid.

Water

There are regions in every province in Pakistan where there are no known believers, churches or strategies. Our friend and JLM apostolic leader and his team of more than 100 full-time workers determine areas of greatest need, provide a water pump, and follow-up with a team of evangelists who explain about “Living Water that never runs dry.”

To date, 300 water pumps have been installed, with many more to come. More than 7000 house churches have been started, and many were a direct result of these water pumps.

Education

Pakistan has the world’s second-highest number of out-of-school children, with an estimated 22.8 million children aged 5-16 not attending school. This is 44% of the total population in this age group (unicef.org).

Our team is providing open-air primary schools in remote areas, serving children who otherwise would be unable to go to school to get a basic education, as well as Bible schools to teach children the good news of the gospel. We currently have 28 educational and Bible schools, with plans to start 50 by 2025..

Aid

JLM’s teams in Pakistan provided humanitarian relief after the devastating floods in 2022, giving out hundreds of food boxes, tents, blankets, and meals to those made homeless by the crisis. They also took food, clothing and Bibles to those affected by religious persecution this year, when dozens of churches were burned down. We have teams on the ground ready to serve as needs arise.

Outreach

JLM has been holding multimedia outreaches in various cities and villages of Pakistan. An interpreter dubs messages from our leaders into the Urdu language, and the team shows this in remote areas this using a large screen, projector, sound system and generator. Thousands of people have heard the gospel through these outreaches, and several thousand have received the good news.

Training

Our team has been conducting house church trainings throughout the country, teaching believers how to share the gospel and plant new house churches.

We also purchased and renovated a building as a community center and an operations/training center. Owning this sort of facility is a rare opportunity in a nation that persecutes and oppresses Christians. To date, hundreds of leaders have been trained to take the gospel to the four corners of the nation.
