Our History

Jordan Lewis Missions was established to honor the life and legacy of Jordan A. Lewis

Jordan was a graduate of Oral Roberts University, who fought a valiant battle against cancer and joined his Creator at the age of 23.

Jordan’s unflinching, unyielding faith in Christ was apparent to all whom he came in contact with. He served the Lord pure heartedly, modeling Christ in all that he did, and his passion was to reach those who had never heard the gospel. As a college student, Jordan was part of the “Man Team,” a small team of young men who lived among a previously unreached tribe cluster of 161,000 in Tanzania.

Jordan was one of the first to volunteer to share the Gospel with the tribe. He shared with a tribe member named Emmanuel, the first person to ever do so, and also gave him the meaning of his name.

Emmanuel received Christ that day, along with several others, and a church was formed. Now there are more than 50 churches. What began as a small outreach has now reached many lives. A birthing clinic, built by the Man Team that same year, now doubles as a church on the weekends.

JLM continues this mission and supports teams focused on reaching those who have yet to hear about Jesus. Projects span the globe and include China, Tanzania, Congo, Southeast Asian nations, India, the Middle East nations, Pakistan, Bangladesh, North Korea, and the unreached Muslims in NYC.

Our Achievements

JLM has worked with 65 unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs) across 25 nations

More than 7500 underground churches started among UPGs

  • More than 20 full-time evangelists funded in China, Syria, Jordan and Iran

  • More than 10 "free of charge" educational schools for the poor of Pakistan

  • 1 SUV given to support apostolic teams among the UPGs of Pakistan

  • 1 motorcycle given to a female evangelist who was on foot for her first 125 church plants

  • 10 bicycles purchased to help missionaries in India, and 10,000 Bibles distributed

  • More than 200 showings of the Jesus film in the Middle East

304 water pumps installed, some with solar panels, in areas of Pakistan that previously didn’t have access to clean water

More than 100,000 recorded salvations

  • In the tribe where Jordan first shared the gospel: there are now more than 40 thriving churches - they asked for the Bible in their own language, and JLM has raised the funds to translate the New Testament

  • More than 400 rescued from severe harm in N. Korea, Iraq and Syria

  • 10 church buildings built in India to reach the UUPGs and change lives

  • 10 sewing machines provided for women entrepreneurs in Nepal

  • One micro-lending bank with almost 1100 women members was started in Nepal

25 UPGs have been removed from the list of worldwide UPGs due to gospel breakthroughs as a result of the work of JLM

7 water wells were built in Nepal

  • Thousands of meals provided to people in need

  • 16 Jesus film backpacks purchased to spread the gospel in India, Tanzania and the Amazon (the backpack weighs about 12 lbs & has solar panels, speakers, a projector, a screen - enough to have about 200 people watch the Jesus film at one time - an incredible tool). In 2023 alone, 13,245 people in northern India came to Christ from showings of the Jesus film with this incredible tool.

  • Thousands of Christian workers trained who work mostly reaching UUPGs and Muslims in Asia

  • A building purchased and renovated in Pakistan as a training center for church planters
