China

In southwestern China now, JLM has teams of Han Chinese and minority missionaries living and serving among 21 unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPG), and we are targeting 11 more UUPGs. Many of these peoples live in the remote and rural areas of the mountains - they have not heard the Gospel, and no Christian missionary has ever worked in their midst.

Evangelism & Aid

Our teams are reaching these UUPGs by living among and serving them, helping to meet some of the needs of the communities.

In one group of 29,000 people, the Luowu, our team reaches out by distributing clothes and food to those in need, and praying for the sick. One woman and her mother both came to Christ, so they returned and joyfully shared the good news to their small village in the mountains. As a result, more than half of the village turned to Christ!

The Gesu are a former UUPG with a population of 16,000. Our team is reaching out to them through outreaches such as distributing water purifiers, giving school uniforms to children in need, and helping with farming. Remarkably, more than 50 have turned to Christ for salvation, many have been baptized, and there are 7 underground church groups meeting.
