Our Twins’ Nightly Request, and Changing a Village One Drink at a Time...

My twin daughters always take a bottle of water to bed. They insist on having their water right next to their little beds, “In case we wake up and are thirsty.”

Many parents cannot say yes to this simple request of their children. So many around the world are still living with unclean water.

Our leader is in this village and we hope to provide water and share the gospel

The idea of wells and water are prominent in the Bible. In the case of the Samaritan woman at the well (the longest one-on-one conversation of Jesus recorded in scripture), he uses her request for water to create an analogy for the Living Water only He provides.

At Jordan Lewis Missions we’ve seen the same power of water.

In Nepal, we helped a group of young women rescued from sex-trafficking, build a water well in their previously unreached village. These ladies were shamed over their background but now became respected leaders of their community. The felt need for drinkable water was addressed, creating openness in a remote village for a great miracle of salvations flowing ever since!

In just two weeks I’m heading to The Middle East to meet with our leaders working in unreached regions. I’ll be taking water filter samples to see if we can get them distributed across the region. For our Middle East church planters, this strategy has been very fruitful in opening doors for the Gospel. Water for the body, Living Water for the soul(s).

Would you please pray for us in this strategic work reaching unreached people groups? On a daily basis I’m faced with increasing requests for help from many who live and minister in extremely dark places. We need tools like water wells and filters and the resources to place them.

For $50 you can provide a portable water filter and for $500 a permanent well in a village among unreached people. For $1000 we’ll be able to send a team to help start a church where this well has been placed. It’s all for the sake of reaching the least reached with the Gospel.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
